MSNBC selects Air Sketch for use on Air

We are extremely thrilled that MSNBC has chosen to use Air Sketch for use On Air. Here’s a segment of the Daily Rundown where Chuck Todd uses the iPad and Air Sketch to walk through the changes in Electoral Votes across states (hey, I didn’t even know these could change!). The segment starts at around the 18:55 mark of the 9/30 broadcast:

I love the uses. I would like to do some of that with the iPad in my classroom (I am a teacher).
What is he using to show the AirSketch on the screen?
How is he so quickly switch fullscreen photos?

Jim: He's using the same stock setup of Air Sketch as you would: Air Sketch is projecting to a web browser over the local WiFi network. To switch images quickly, you can save them as snapshots (camera icon) ahead of time, then switch between them during the presentation.

Thanks! Great tip. Can you remove stuff from that menu? Can you organize those that menu at all with folders? By the way, great work. I love the product and am finding new and interesting uses for my classroom the more I use it.

This makes good use of the Ipad. Its no surprise such a major network decided to use it for there weather service. They used to be chroma key with the green screen instead of actual displays. Now it is heavily improved with visible to the meteoroligst and interactive.

I love then potential of this app. I want to use it when giving lectures in place of PowerPoint. I'm wondering how to make the display showing my sketch show only my PDF that I'm annotating instead of centering it, having extra white space on the side and then the grey space that is the rest of the web page on the outisde of that. This set up makes the text on the PDF rather small and difficult to read. Any tips would be appreciated.
